  • Fresh lime juice squeezed on rocks, nettle, honeydew and herbs on the very bright and detailed nose of a rather reductive character. On the palate this is markedly tense with high acidity, moderate ripeness and tightly packed medium body. Clearly the producer has not aimed for ripeness and concentration here as this is electric and firm without a lot of weight. It has a very well-defined, even chiselled frame and is very seamless from start to the balanced and lingering finish. By no means a showy wine, it is very easy to appreciate but I have little doubt that it will develop gloriously in the cellar. Majestically minerally on the palate, it is somewhat of a purist’s wine and right up my alley. A wonderful expression of dry Riesling that has seemingly been crafted with surgical precision.
