Quel nez!

  • From the list at La Tour d'Argent

Definitely quite advanced and I'm not sure I agree with some of the recent notes below

    Dusty and somewhat one dimensional

    Will not improve

  • Clos Rougeard 1976 - 2010 organised by Jordi Orriols-Gil (Noble Rot, London): Having tried this wine 5 months ago from n impecable cellar and rated 98 we were a bit disappointed to have gotten a light wiff of TCA on this that was just enough to spoil this almost perfect wine. Still with that the wine was a good 94-95 but still not to the level.

  • Le fuck you Isis Lunch (La Tour D'Argent, Paris): From the magnificent cellar of La Tour D'Argent, Paris.
Straight from the start this was masterclass of a wine. The colour was youngish and vibrant, a feeling that was carried by the wined rom nose to palate too. Super complex and elegant, lovely silky tannin and a depth of flavour to write songs about. Purely a superb wine. 98 and with a lot of life ahead of ot.

  • Gamy and complex, very smooth on the palate, with soft, velvety tannins. A little shorter and more rustic that a bottle opened about a year ago at La Tour D´Argent, which was close to perfection.
