Served blind. Called for Poyeux late 90s / early 00s. Not far off. The fact that I went for Poyeux shows that this wine delivered maybe more on the velvet finesse side rather than the punchy side. Its totally ready to drink now, it continuously evolves in glass and in bottle, a great wine.

Date night @ Park90: This went through a 4 hour decant and I had the privilege to taste a bit of this. Red fruits, sour cherries, bell pepper, spices, smoked olives, dried forest, earthy. Nice long warm bell pepper finish. Balanced, gentle, in fact, rather Burgundian. Savoury and complex. Very lively. Great stuff.

eminently drinkable, with an extremely long and pleasant after-taste which seems to gain miraculously in dark-fruit flavor. there's a hint of oak but it's been integrated well. not the most powerful and not even all that complex but the transparency of the fruit and the pleasure of the after-taste make it a truly great wine.

Clos Rougeard Breze and Le Bourg and some friends (905 Fahrenheit aka 485° Düsseldorf): Both from colour and nose the most developed wine of the day. Reached his top maybe declining. Maybe bottle problem. Still a phantastic wine. 92-93

More aromatic lift. Relatively feminine and light, but also bright. Simply lovely.
