  Very Leroy, elegant for a 2009, not sure I'd call this a CdlR on a blind. Actually, I am very sure I would have called a grand cru Leroy Vosne.

  Amazingly ripe musky dark fruit, flowers, minerals, and earth. Very fresh thanks to abundant acidity, but the earthiness is persistent beyond all the fruit: like rolling rocks in your mouth. This does not have the meaty and animale notes of the Vosne wines from the same vintage and is very young. I prefer to drink the Boudots or the Combottes today, but this will be great in time.

Lots of black fruit on the nose, then evolving towards a combination of red and black on palate, that really shows great power on the finish. Showing some of the best minerality in the Leroy 2009 lineup today.
