Bottle 1496/1938- Not the most aromatic Leroy but the nose still exihibited sweet currant, date and wilted flowers. The palate was youthful and deep with wild red and dark fruit. While Leroy’s style sometimes dominate the terroir, this bottle really showed the CDLR terroir. Very fine and it should continue to age.

Burghound Symposium Asia - Clos Saint- Denis vs. Clos de la Roche dinner (Hong Kong): Discrete nose, toffee, red and dark fruit, earth. Powerful but refined palate. This felt even a bit wild and young. Very good but today upstaged by Dujac’s outer-worldly 1989 CDR/CSD duo. 96+

impressive, donker rood, neus is licht sexy, houtgebruik, mooi fruit, indrukwekkend, je blijft ruiken, spicy, dierlijk, terroir, heel aantrekkelijk, smaak is zacht en heel elegant, mooi uitgerijpt, optimaal drinkbaar, lange afdronk, maakt echt indruk
