Slightly brownish rim. Lively fruit and acidity as it should be for a barbera. Very happy to have bought this bottle as it is a great example of what it takes to produce premium wines.

Tarry with a great minerality and really dark, earthy fruits. Well structured with a firmly tannic finish and lasting tart acids. Dark, pure, and weighty on the palate - huge for barbera. Technically really well done, but not without character. Succeeds in redefining the boundaries of the varietal.

Big nose with a mixture of fruits and some ester notes. Very tart and biting on the top. Soon resolved into softer and brigher acid fruits with a backnotes of tar and clay. Lots of body and structure based pretty much on the acids. Quite harmonious when it opened up.
