I am not sure I really understood this ultra-low yielding GC Barbera. I have had several bottles of Voerzio's 2016 Barbera il Cerretto which I have enjoyed and at times loved. I think that this is likely to be a very long term wine that was drunk far too soon, and had we waited two decades it would no doubt have unfurled very differently. Just tasted like concentrated Barbera to me, a heavy wine demanding of food.

Graham's 2010 Barolo dinner (Portland): High-density, ultra-low yield Barbera bush vines, producing an extremely concentrated wine that's bottled only in magnums. An obvious choice to have as the fourteenth wine of the evening, right? Dense, plush, luxurious, with expensive wood treatment. Felt a bit too well-made, though I'm sure it would have been spot-on at the start of the night with a burger.

Suckling's Great Wines of Italy (Loews Hotel - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Rich and dense with intense concentration in the middle and a very elegant finish. This needs plenty of cellar time, but great potential here.
