From magnum Medium garnet Intense nose, dark cherry, leather, and anise Dry, medium alcohol and M+ tannin. Paired with a roast Porchetta, wonderful aged Barbera with plenty of life left.

2014 Tree Lighting Party (Morrell Wine, 1 Rockefeller Plaza): Unapologetically modern and ripe yet incredibly enjoyable all the same, the Voerzio Riserva Pozzo dell’Annunziata seemed to leap from the glass with intense floral perfumes, dusty spice, ripe cherry and strawberry, dark chocolate and a grounding note of undergrowth. On the palate, it showed rich textures made lively by zesty acidity with flavors of spiced cherry and savory herbs. The finish was fresh, as Barbera should be, with black cherry lingering long.

Roberto Voerzio by Juancho Asenjo (Vila Viniteca - Madrid): Cherry coke aroma at first. Forest floor too. Tribute to complexity for a Barbera. Profound on the nose. Perfectly ready. Tamed tannins. Aristocratic texture. Quite refreshing yet delicious. One of my choices.
Lo primero aromas a cola de cereza. Hojarasca también. Tributo a la complejidad para una Barbera. Profunda en nariz. Perfectamente lista. Taninos domados. Textura aristocrática. Bastante refrescante aunque deliciosa. Una de mis elecciones.

Can Barbera be this good?? Obviously... Paul F brouht this to Ron Blaauw and it stunned the crowd. Very aromatic with an unbelievable intense core of red fruit. Typical Barbera cherries, but with a structure and depth I've never encountered. Best Barbera ever to me.

Spectacular extraction, incredibly aromatic with lovely vanilla undertones. Very forward fruit expression - blackberry and spice. WOW - one of the best Barbera's I've had.
