Quite lean and stemy with less persistence than you might expect for a 2010 Dujac 1er. Might well come good in a few years but the second half of the bottle that was had the next day was significantly worse than the first. Pretty poor value for what it delivers at present.

Blind Tasting...Wines That Don't Suck (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): Served semi double blind (we knew it would be Dujac). Dense red fruit comes across as intriguing but backward today, unlike the other 2010s today. Still, clearly so much potential with very good length and weight. 90-91 point potential.

Late night pop n' pour. After a couple of 2010s (Pousse Groseilles and Jadot Baudes) that were signing, this was more brooding and inward. Signature stem and spice are there, just not as intense or delineated at this stage. Loads of potential. Hold for 5 years, I'd guess.

"Wines that don't suck" (Chicago, IL): Served double blind (but it was known that this was Dujac). Plenty of red fruit, but not quite the full-on amount of Dujac spice. I initially thought this was a 2013, as this was a little simple and lean, but I think that may well have been because of the late night pop and pour. There is a slight hint of stems here which adds some nice complexity. This didn't have the spicy components of Vosne, so my guess was between the Morey or Chambolle 1ers.

Pretty darn tight and closed in. Unlike most 2010s this one is just not yet open for business. Hold 5+ years.
