Some funk and barnyard on the nose with flavors of red fruit. Good balance on the palate with notes of blood orange, cherries and unripe red fruit. Good acidity and medium+ finish.

Dinner with Mike Grammer (Francisca's (3047 Mission St)): Light ruby, significant bricking; highly aromatic, floral, red fruit, forest mulch, slight Brett; palate is light, fresh red berries, some youthful tannin, high acid; medium finish. This is really lovely, though the nose smells like a wine 10 years older than it’s age. Still, a lovely wine. 91-92

Georges Noellat Tasting (pre-2010) (Crystal Wines, Singapore): Classic Vosne nose of herb and spice. Very transparent color as well as on the palate, to the point of being slightly lean and acidic. Sour red cherries on the palate. I'm concerned this does not have the stuffing to make old bones. Slightly disappointing for a Beaux Monts.

Georges Noellat Portfolio Tasting (Crystal Wines): Earthy nose. Dark fruits on the palate. Powdery tannins quite apparent. In my opinion, paled in comparison to the Nuits St. Georges from Georges Noellat. Could also be due to the lesser vintage (2008).
