Blind...too cold at first. Muted the nose a bit. With air- you get the CSJ wild side- slight reduction, dark fruit, a very strong pepper note comes on and lingers. Finesse. Cool minerality. young. Needs time.

This was the most elegent vintage for this wine I have ever had, probably the cool vintage but impressive. It was more a burgundy than BDX as other on hot vintage.

Deep ruby in colour. Medium nose intensity with notes of black and red fruits, blueberry, red currant, violet. Medium+ acidity with medium tannin. Tannin is round and smooth on palate. More to full bodied and medium+ finish with medium+ flavour intensity. Will benefit with ageing. Did not decant. Already entering its drinking window.

Medium red colour. Red fruit, mineral and oak on nose. Initially tight but opens up after an hour with medium bodied red fruit, iron and definite but well-integrated oak (more integrated than a bottle tasted 1 year ago). Not the greatest CSJ but has the pedigree. Medium finish.

More approachable than my first bottle couple years ago but still can age. Nice nose.
