Purchased this wine while on a trip to Texas Hill Country and honestly didn't know if I would enjoy it as much at home as I did at the vineyard. I was pleasantly suprised, the wine lived up to my expectations from the first tasting. Very drinkable and went well with a tomato based fish dish.

A well-made wine. It reminded me of the 1999 Troplong-Mondot we shared with two Swiss travelers while returning to Paris from Rennes on the TGV on April 7th of this year. The 2001 Château D'Aiguilhe also is comparable. I think a blind side-by-side tasting of this wine and the 2001 Château D'Aiguilhe would be interesting.

Not a bad Texas wine. Color is dark garnet. Nose of plum, cherry, chocolate, and spice. On the palate, round dark fruits predominate with a backing of spice and a hint of earth. Soft and easy drinking.

Solid meritage-style blend. In the top tier of TX wines.

Had a bitter taste and feel. Very6 fruity but an almost persimmon quality. Not one of the best Texas wines we've had.
