Had this at a blind tasting, two people preferred it over the other wine (out of 14!). I was not one of the two. I was disappointed. This screamed Texas wine to me, if you want to support the Lone Star state try Flat Creek Travis Peak Select Cab.
This was overly fruity, not much oak or backbone. One person described it as Kool-aid.

41% cabernet sauvignon, 39% merlot, 14% malbec, 5% cabernet franc, 1% petite syrah[sic]. Every bit as good as the 2004, there's plenty of structure, fruit, and tobacco aroma to go around, which is odd given the homeopathic quantity of franc. While this seems more like Sonoma than Bordeaux the quality is undeniable. According to wine-searcher this isn't available in a reciprocal state, so do what I do and stop by the Bodega Winery wine bar in DFW (gates A14 and D15) for a glass. The other Texas wines I've tried have been less than impressive but this one is Very Good.

(Becker Claret) #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-this is wild; heavy Bloody Mary w/ purple candy; TASTE-sugar level is too high for me; entry level wine drinkers might like; the fruit is sugarfied and gets a little awkward on the back-end; high dosage of cassis on the back-end that I like, but overall this is a thin, awkward, disjointed effort; GV-??

One of the better Texas wines I've had. Opened up quite nicely after about 2 hours.
