  • In a beautiful spot now. I stopped dipping into these a few years ago when they were starting to toughen up. Now it's generous and friendly again with that svelte, feminine texture this bottling pulls off so well - at its best you could be forgiven for confusing it for the Amoureuses, and that's where we are now with all that silken elegance. The fruit has developed into crimson tones and the aromas while not especially powerful developed into a melange of sweet baking scents and something earthier, very enticing and very familiar as Chambolle. I doubt this vintage will live forever but it ought to coast nicely like this for at least a few years.

  • Bright vivid red color. Dark red fruit and bit sappy upon opening. Firmed up with air, adding a mild herbacious note on the palate and a bit of tannin. Has plwnty of fruit to wrap the tannins. Has a lovely elegant supple profile overall. Seems like we opened just before an early maturity plateau. I’d hold a few more years but wnjoyablw now.

  • From an unknown provenance. There was no sign of heat damage on the bottle or the cork. Over a period of 45 minutes, there was almost zero nose, correct acidity, and some red fruit. Simply hollow. Assume to be flawed and damaged. More of the same on day 2.

  • Tart with a mix of savory herbs and earth. Lighter in color. After a short decant settles in with light tannins and some decent depth. Very earthy. The wine was fine but for $100, a bit on the pricey side and thus a poor QPR.

91-92pts
