Ten years old this wine is in a beautiful spot. It's their entry level Barolo but the fruit is front and center with secondary flavors lurking. 8 hour decant.

Intense garnet. Nose is typical of Parusso’s style - rich and fruity - red cherry, black currant, eucalyptus, tobacco. Palate is rather flamboyant - the tannins are supple but could withstand a few more years. Long finish. I remain a big fan of Parusso’s somewhat unorthodox Barolo style - and this vintage (2012) is a remarkable example. I would like to taste it again in 3-4 years.

75cl - Huarpe Wines and others (75cl Tasting Lab, Jalan Kilang Barat): clear, pale ruby; clean, medium nose of lemon, orange, strawberry, raspberry, mint, grass, minerals; dry, medium acid, tannic, medium body, lemon, raspberry,.mint, mineral, licorice; seems young but the strong citrousy notes are very welcoming! :)

Medium crimson in color, this wine showed sweet red cherry, black tea, hints of orange rind and lavender on the nose. The mouth feel was medium bodied with surprisingly soft tannins that framed the red cherry fruits. The finish was medium in length with vibrant acidity that brought the red fruits and soft tannins together seamlessly. 14.5% abv.
Purchased for $25US this is an excellent qpr that is already drinking very well. I'm in for more at this price for sure.
