The herbaceous nose was a little off putting. Strawberry tones opened up quickly. Better with food. Wouldn’t buy again. Disappointing for such a great vintage.

An odd Barolo. Quite aromatic but showing mostly herbs and exotic spices. Palate is more approachable than my last bottle. Acidity, fine tannins, seems somewhat green. Some red fruits mixed in. I’m a little perplexed by the flavor profile but it’s enjoyable enough.

Overwhelming vegetal aroma. It smells like bell pepper. I let it decant overnight (kinda by accident). We'll see later today if that improves things.
