A strong showing. Pretty deep red color, with a nicely perfumed nose. On the palate, ripe red and dark fruit, some metallic notes, fairly complex, and lively acidity. Balanced and elegant. Just hitting its stride and should have plenty more years ahead of it.

Mature looking, some bricking on the edge. Scents of plum, tar, leather, spice and violets (or some floral scent). Excellent mouthfeel, plum, leather, woodspice. Low-medium acid with resolved tannins. Lingering finish of bright cherry. Drinking very well now and has some years to go.

Pop and pour out of a 375ml. Transparent ruby red color. Nice crisp wine with some rose petal, licorice and strawberry on the palate. Tannins are still very evident but it is certainly enjoyable right now.

decanted 2.5 hours (maybe a bit long). med. ruby red w/paling rim; anise, strawberry - cherry confiture, earthy garden soil & compost-ey note, pencil shavings; med+ weight; ripe dried cherry & red currants, sweet floral in-mouth quality, some drying wood character, OK acidity & structure, tannins smooth nearly integrated. good normale, w/a few years to best drinking.
veal milanese; broccoli w/butter & garlic, anchovy & roasted corno di toro peppers, parmesan
