World's Greatest - Night II (Daniel): Classic Leflaive matchstick right off the top. Rich but also seems to have a ton on minerality. This coats the mouth up front but comes though the middle a little flat and has a thinner finish than one would hope for. Edge to the '82 Ramonet Batard, á mon avis.

Pure and clean with rounded yellow citrus. Light petrol and matchstick notes with strong minerality remaining on the palate. Great bottle with a lot of time left

A gorgeous pair of 82 Leflaives - BBM and Chevalier. The BBM started with a non-existent nose. That expanded somewhat over a few hours. The palate was solid, but not as memorable as other bottles we've had. The Chevalier was simply majestic. An unreal wine that's what wine drinking is all about. Stayed strong for hours. Money!

La Paulée de San Francisco - Gala Dinner (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Small glass, brief note. Very dense and still fresh. Excellent for drinking now, just not quite as exciting as the 1989 just tasted.
