It’s been 2 years since we last drank this. Wonderful nose with dark red fruit, spice and earth. Beautiful juice with hints of earth, pepper, cola and ripe berries. Light tannins with a long finish. Drinking very well right now but still has time if you want to hold.

It's been 4-5 years since we opened this, and wow did that make a difference. I questioned its longevity then and boy was I wrong. This was a totally different wine. A big nose of primary dark fruits, vanilla, graphite, cocoa powder, and damp earth initially leads to a massive, behemoth package of super rich, concentrated fruit (you almost have to eat the wine). Big tannic structure, but plenty of substance to round it out. It settled down with time in the decanter, and transformed into a major spice bomb after 2-3 hours. The finish is big and long. Most notably is how much weight and depth it gained with 4-5 years of bottle age. I'd wait another 3-4 years minimum before opening the next one. 94+

Cellared since Jan 2017. Cork broke in half during extraction. Remainder came out OK, tight no-leak seal. Less than stellar for a cab; light-bodied, weak fruit, short finish. Would not have bought this if the tasting had been like this. Disappointing to say the least.
