Very golden but also very, very good. It has a core of tinned peaches and all sorts of interesting spice and truffle nuance. It is layered and the introduction of a dish of abalone cooked with butter and shallots brings out the wine’s saline minerality and opens up the powerful peach fruit flavours. It has great complexity and each sip unlocks something else that engages the senses.

Best white this year. Aromatic, fresh and vibrant. The last glass was the best in a 3 hour dinner. Grilled nut, popcorn, flint and caramelized fruit. Long and complex. Mouthcoating finish. 97-98

Outstanding... close to perfect aged white burgundy. vibrant with hints of pineapples, baked apples, and hints of lemon. Great mouth feel.

Zachys La Paulée Auction, Day Two (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. A rare treat. Baked apple aromas with some butterscotch. Similar flavors, lots of intriguing hints, but short finish. Still very good.
