Wonderful interaction of intensity and savory aspects. Long and focused, with lychee, apricot, stone, plumeria, golden apple and chalk. Full body, with a gliding manner. Viscous in the front end, then elegant on the back, with a perched, round middle. Such a treat and ideal for many a cuisine. Drink now - 2030.

Golden coloured. First a bit reductiv notes, which change and transform in a nose of classic yellow and tropical fruits quickly. On the palate nicely balanced with high intensity even getting more intense with time. 5/13/17/9. What is lacking here for a higher score? Complexity and play! This wine is fully mature, but is going to hold through for some more years for sure if perfectly stored since release.

In 2012, I wrote "Rather ripe Riesling with a fruity, almost creamy accent. Nevertheless great tension due to high and ripe acidity. Not so much for the mineral lovers, but neither thick or too rich. Excellent."
In 2019, the wine is showing both creamy ripening notes and an acidity that calls impressions of botrytis.
Overall, a weird mix that doesn't meet expectations. Don't hold.

German wine tasting followed by a Lunch (@ de Nederlanden): Beautiful bouquet which shows some development and good minerals. Same on the palate, tropical fruits, honey, full bodied and an enormous length. Beautiful and mouth filling wine.

Occasional dinner group: Riesling GG and Top Pomerol (@ Zarzo): Tropical fruits, elegant and also full bodied. Good balance between acidity and sweetness. Great length. Beautiful wine. See also my previous notes.
