Not terribly expressive nose, but deep and rich, and showing lots of development. Good mouthfeel, very smooth, tannins pretty much completely integrated. As a previous reviewer noted, tastes rather like a well-aged Medoc. Decent length. Nothing more to give - it will probably last for a bit longer, but I can't see it improving, and there's every chance that it will start to fall off a cliff soon.

Earthy nose, seems a little funky at first but then some good mature Cabernet notes comes through, cedar, green peppers and pencil shavings, like a medoc Warming fruit, mellow, sweet with a little tannin Quite old school in a good way, ageing beautifully. No hurry to drink this

Completely lives up to the promise that a previously corked bottle showed. Putting aside a little mushroomy pong, completely acceptable at 14 years of age, but otherwise a wonderfully complete and balanced mid weight cabernet. Mild blackberry fruits, a lining of acid and some chewiness but this is not what I'd call tannic. Right in the guts of the optimal window but I wouldn't hesitate to re-visit in 4 years.

A note purely for the records. Not massively corked but enough to make the wine hard-going. I'll be back for more though it shows great colour (dark blood red) and the structure is clearly in tact with spicy fruits and lively palate weight. A shame.

Dusty nose, but very nice palate, with flavours of raspberry, anise, and cocoa powder.
