Unfortunately this bottle was past its prime. Still had some tropical, citrus, and vanilla characteristics but unfortunately also had wood chip. Just was confused and not enjoyable at this point. Many other 2016 white blends and Chardonnays are still drinking well, just not this one.

After so many powerhouse Chards from Cali like Aubert, Kistler and Peter Michael this was a bit of a relief because of its purity. Not much of a nose just a some tropical flowers like stephanotis. Palate showed initially butterscotch and then a strong peach flavor. Followed by an interesting lime finish. Very nice wine

Color: medium gold Nose: oak, spice, citrus rind, minerals. Fairly modest intensity Palate: medium acidity, oily, toffee notes emerge on top of what you get from the nose. Not super intense Finish: medium
The wine is a little too oak forward imo, though it does get a lot better with air. It's also quite advanced. The balance is not perfect and this suffers from it, though this is clearly a good wine , well-made from good fruit. Best 1h out the fridge at room temp. I suspect the bottle was not spotless because of how advanced it felt and how tame the aromas were
