Opened a bottle of this for dinner tonight with a homemade chicken pot pie. Both were delicious. The wine paired perfectly. Some excellent fruit - hints of lemon, pineapple and a bit of apple. Perfect acidity. While this should age well for the next year or two, my rec is to pop open a bottle, decant for an hour, and enjoy with a favorite fish or fowl dish. 91-92 range.

Popped and poured. Extremely solid, developed deep yellow color. Oily appearance. Classic California Chardonnay nose, nice creamy, buttery aromas, but very restrained, very pretty. Nice pear combines with a hint of pineapple to hint at the complexity this wine will probably deliver in spades with a bit more age. This can be drunk now with plenty of air or a good decant, but I'm betting it will improve with more time in bottle. For now: 5-13-16-9: 93/100.

Light gold. On the nose, prominent aromas of stone fruit, citrus, nuts, honey, vanillin oak. Honeyed fruit on the palate, round mouth feel, medium plus ringing acids on the front, lovely aromatic back notes. Medium alcohol (13.5%). Lively, rich, and complex with a very long finish.

A wonderful Chardonnay from Mount Eden Estate in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The Acidity is fantastic right now and complements the fruit perfectly, the oak is also very pleasant, not too much which is not uncommon from other producers. A complex wine that goes just as well with food as it does on its own. Drink or hold.

Classic Californian Chardonnay but has enough freshness to make it enjoyable. Still big though.
