{screwcap, 12%} Still very pale straw. Wet straw palate. Hints of citrus, sherbet, chalk, talc on the nose. Light-bodied palate, neither young nor aged, but with underlying persistent acidity, and a fresh juicy but dry finish. Tastes exactly per the nose, but always subtle and with a steely backbone. Finishes medium-long, juicy, fresh, tingly yet not sweet at all. Seems like a wine in transition a bit. Got better with more air; the dankness blew off and it began to shine with a steady yellow light. No harm drinking now, but no rush either.

Tyrrell's Vat 1 Vertical: Soapy with lush tropical fruits, slick lanolin in texture. Good depth, from a warm dry vintage. The ripe fruit profile stood out against a Vat 1 vertical of 1998, 2004, 2007, 2012 and 2014.

Hunter Valley - 3 Cellar Doors (Hunter Valley): {screwcap, 12%, A$50} Big, vivid floral nose of roses, perfume and a little cut grass only. The palate is soft-textured and lemony, with a hint of sherbert. Dry, and with seemingly medium high acidity, only light-bodied, and with a medium/long finish. I sense something early-maturing for some reason. Very nice now.

Wonderful aroma, sweet citrus, pineapple, orange. So smooth, medium acidity, dry, pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, peach. Flavour changes as you drink it. Not one aspect stands out but overall a great wine.

Very pale, almost clear.
Chalky dry extract of citrus, white flowers.
Gentle but lingering intensity. Lemon zest, lemon curd, chalky, a little creamy.
