Lovely golden colour but not browning in the slightest. Toasty aromas make you initial think there could be some new oak which of course there isn't. Dry honeyed citrus flavours. Very long after taste. Past it's best but still very enjoyable even on the 2nd night. Ideal with richer seafood like salmon and even Asian.

Cork was weeping and fell apart - ominous. Nose promising - no oxidation just lemony honey. Lemony colour but not deep golden as some can be. Beautiful toasted honey, lemon with a long lingering finish. Maybe slightly past its peak but still drinking beautifully and an example of why great old Hunter Semillon is worth trying.

Deep golden yellow colour. Cork ok but initial impression is the wine is oxidised. With time it opens up and displays the classic honied character that Hunter semillons develop but the fruit is nearly gone. A classic past it's best.

NobleRottersSydney - Hunter Valley (+Steliano Cusmiani, Bimbadgen) (Lucio's, Paddington): Mid yellow. There is some development of secondary toasty quasi-oaky notes, although the wine seems in something of a hole. Some soft lemon fruit remains but this wine is all about structure at the moment. The acid is very strong still, but not unless you look for it – something of a paradox! And the long finish bodes well. I think this wine needs another 5 years to build fully, although it’s not at all bad now.

Lovely gold color. Needs time to settle in the glass. Nice honeyed citrus flavours. Very elegant for its age. Very good example I think.
