Expressive nose of black currants, with hints of oak. Medium+ acidity, tons of black currants and some coffe grounds, medium tannins and long ending with some oak which gives elegance to it. Not utterly complex but absolutely delicious in its fruitiness now. This will definitely improve with age, but right now is in a hedonistic, Napa-like phase that will bring you lots of pleasure. I slow ox’ed the bottle for 5 hours.

This is a must wine. If we read the descriptors for this wine we would find many because each and everyone of us have different ways to describe a wine. I will only say that this wine is what I want to drink forever specially at this price. It is extremely elegant and polished with a sublime sexyness hard to imagine. This wine is pure silk, an imaginary breed of Napa meets Bdx or viceversa. It is one of those wines made for us that love Napa and love Bordeaux. In all honesty I believe there is no better QPR out there. I cannot think of another wine that delivers so much in this price. Bought a case after the tasting. Right now delicious with a 4 hrs decant, but will be in its prime around 2030
4 hours of air in decanter - black/purple dense color - black and blue fruits on the nose, very expressive, but there is also a bit of burnt sugar - the palate is good but it doesn't explode vertically. Med+ length. All in all a good wine, but I think that it's not the right spot at the moment - best fruit phase has past. Wait at least 5 years! 93++ pts.

Tasting at L&L. Decanted for 2 hours. On the nose, this was concentrated with masculinity and power. Unmistakably Pessac-Léognan. Nicely balanced with sophistication. At first a lot of aromatics of ripe red fruit, dark chocolate, tobacco with hidden meat juice and sweet cotton candy. A hint of black forest cake and ripe cherries. With another hour this transformed into an integrated version of more mellow red fruit with hints of tobacco, ripe berries and meat juices. More muted but in a good way. Everything was settling into its rightful place.
On the palette, it’s obviously still young but you get why this is such a well made wine. The tannins are fine and slightly grippy with a good finish that coats your palette. With all the interesting notes on the nose, this one contradicts on the palette as it’s soft and mellow. Even at age 5. A very bright and long future ahead. I’m convinced all the added complexities will arrive in time. Knowing this hidden gem will evolve into a spectacular wine in the future.

Lovely and easy drinking wine and very complex at the same time. I was told this was open for business and it was.
