No score because of the compromised cork. Japanese Restaurant Taillevent label bought on auction and arrived leaking. Plopped immediately.
Red-brown colour with very fine sediment creating a ghastly turbidity. Nose is unpleasantly oxidized. There are beautiful red berries and great intensity in this wine, especially considering the vintage. But, there's also a taste of overly brown bananas and a good dollop of oxidization.
I kept it open for two days and, on the second day, concluded that this was only getting worse. So, I let it travel down the sink.
The label is a happy adventure, though :-)

Surprisingly low in sediment. First slightly thin and acidic. After hour in decanter had with reindeer which broadened the palate and emphasized fruit. Structure still solid. Some sous bois in aroma. Not much tertiary flavors. Will wait at least couple years for the next. No hurry in drinking.
Pent moden Bordeaux med nydelig intakt frukt, plommer, kaffe, mynte, sigar, blyant. Nydelig saftig frukt også i smaken som er aldeles i vater. Topp flaske.

An excellent showing for a vintage that is in the shadow of 2000. Along with plum and black currant, there are strong smoky oak and cigar box aromas. It's nicely concentrated and with noticeably fresh acidity. At 20 years of age, this is a great time to drink this. It probably won't get much better, but shouldn't come down from its peak for 5+ years.

Beautiful and elegant.
Good tannic bite, yet smooth.
A pretty small voice, but very much a beautiful Bdx.
