Definitely one of the best middle-aged Cristom we’ve had - savory, softened fruit, with a really ethereal high note that lifts the wine. Brought to friends’ with poached salmon, new potatoes, broccoli rabe, perfection.

Beautifully plush nose of cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant and vanilla, supported by a complex aromatic core of woodsmoke, forest floor, gingerbread, white pepper and soy. Lovely silky, lacy mouthfeel, but with real density, texture and weight. Slightly drying finish. This is superbly well done.

Crunchy red cherry and berry on nose and palate with good weight. Whole cluster is more pronounced than I’d consider ideal, which also comes across with a faint sweetness at this time. I will hold my other bottle for at least another 2 or 3 years.

Vivid wild strawberry, cherry and red berry on the nose, with a pleasantly peppery layer of dried herbs, Asian spice, hedgerow, minerals and the merest hint of vanilla. Lovely silky palate, rich with detail but refined and lacy. Freshness evident, but kept nicely in check. Perfectly integrated tannins and a tongue-coating spicy finish. Balances ripeness with elegance excellently. Very good indeed.
