  • Bottle filled bottom neck, cork in good condition. Translucent medium brickish colour. The wine seemed a little rustic at first, with a dried fruit profile and a lightly rustic texture, but started to shine after breathing in a small decanter for two hours. Dark fruit, black currant, blackberry, plum, chocolate/cocoa, toffee, cedar, tobacco, gingerbread, spices, smoke, mint, and gravelly minerality, with fresh acidity, and very good length. The tannin softened with aeration and the medium-bodied wine became smoothly textured and very balanced. Good structure, concentration and complexity. The last glass drank best. A great Bordeaux!

  • Way past peak. The wine was ''dead''. Bought at an auction in April 2023. Maybe stroage consitions were not optimal from previous owner.

  • Bottle filled into the neck, cork in great condition. Medium garnet colour, some sediment. Floral notes, dark fruit, black currant, blackberry, light chocolate, cedar, tobacco, spices, cinnamon, liquorice, light mint, and light balsamic notes, with good acidity, mostly resolved tannin, and superb length. Medium-bodied, smoothly textured and very balanced. Complex, and dense. In a good place. Great Bordeaux!

  • First of nine bottles I bought on auction recently. Bottom neck. Medium to dark garnet colour. Restrained nose. Red and black berry fruit, black currant, mint, light leather, light tobacco, light marzipan, and complex spice notes, with good acidity, and very fine and mostly resolved tannin. Medium-bodied, dense, concentrated and well-balanced, with very good persistence. Restrained and elegant upon opening, fuller, broader and spicier if still dense and firm after an hour in a small decanter. Consistent on day two. A very good, well-structured Saint-Émilion! In a good place; no reason to wait, but no need to hurry either. 92+

  • Fine Wines SG - Bordeaux 80s BYOB (Fine Wines SG): Cool minty and quite a punch of cassis on the nose. Fleshy with wheat and barley, but quite a lot of chocolates and coffee. Nice!
