87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet. Earthy notes, herbs, cedar and tobacco burst from the glass in a concentrated wine. The tannins are nicely integrated but there is no fruit. Medium to long finish.

Good, but less intriguing than I was expecting. It held up well over three days of being open on the counter, which definitely softened some of its high notes, but even on day-3 the acidity was out of balance. This just needs time. Check back in on this in another 5 years.

This is a premier grand cru of SE and it deserves respect. A bold complex wine with berries, blackcurrants, dark chocolate, oak, vanilla... the wood is pronounced on the aroma than the taste, the palate gives a slight spice, sweet spice like cardamon. Medium weight, toasty tannins that are silky and great finish. A sip sip wine.

Very tasty. Blackberry, cherry, spices, coffee. Tannins already softened and silky. Will revisit in a couple of years, where it should be even better.
