A nice mid-range Chard. We are auditioning for a #3 Chard on our House Whites list because we got a bit tired of Macrostie after 18 bottles, just not enough there. The top two are Duckhorn and Rock View (a Total Wine exclusive). I will buy 6 more of this K-J to give it a fair trial, but no screw top willl count against it. C'mon, if $59 Plumpjack can use a screw top, surely K-J can. It is SO user friendly, it influences my buys. Last night we wanted another glass after dinner, I went right to Conundrum Red Blend because to the screw top.

Kendall Jackson (Dan Murphy's, Lane Cove): Pops a little more on the nose, a little more citrus here to accompany the stone fruit which, as the wine warms, tends to show a little more tropical notes. Butter, lees work present here as well as a fair lick of polished oak. In the mouth it's densely oaky, plenty of leesy breadth, texture proves quite drying here, it's a bit on the flabby side, butter, Randy says 'oily' and I'm inclined to agree...I think he means it as a positive - which this time I'm inclined to disagree. Handles its stated 15.4% alcohol reasonably well.
