(Highland Estates Camelot Higlands Chardonnay) #1; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-smoky and oaky; little bit of apple and pear; some butter; hint of oak and wood chips; PALATE-a BIG Chardonnay; if you like big Chards (Ramey, Cakebread etc.), you'll like this; very rich and clean; this is not overoaked; like marzipan meets pancake with a little squeeze of lemon that I like; good acidity; quite fresh; this is NOT overdone which I like; a buttered pancake component; butter and grain; but very clean - almost Burgundian; I like this wine and I feel is fairly priced; really well made; a fantastic CA style Chard; RP-93; GV-91+

Found this bottle in my cellar- probably should have drunk it two years ago. I was expecting it to be well past its prime, but surprisingly it has held up. Citrusy nose that changes to butterscotch and creme brulee on the palate. Surprisingly acidic. Long finish. Enjoyable.

One of my favorite whites. Nice balance and great finish. I just drank this and it was still drinking well. No signs that it is on its way down, but I can't imagine it'll last for too long.
