6 of us enjoyed a fav old haunt, Tilia in south Minneapolis's quaint Lynden Hills neighborhood tonight. CV,DM,LI,JG, SS & MA. My wine tonight. Slow-oxed for 2-1/2hrs prior to leaving for Tilia in Burg glass & btl. Hardly any sediment. This is in the pocket w/ proper air. Great Burg nose with bark berries, spice & forest floor nose. The forest floor, dark fruit & spice carries over to an elegant, lifted palate where you pick up mushroom & other harmonics on its finessed presentation. A very complete burg lovers experience with a fully mature tertiary wine.

Very impressive intensity and balance. Tannins are fully resolved and there is a lovely elegance. Some unbalanced structure but in general a fully mature and lovely wine!

Pale strawberry colour. Subdued nose of strawberry, rhubarb and an earthy note. Thin palate with hints of red berries and abundant acidity. Worked okay with roast chicken.

Mature colour with plenty of amber. Expressive Pinot nose, earthy and floral. Good positive earthy fruit flavours. Classic pommard. Body is a little this. Needs to fill out a bit. Drinkable now but time in hand.

Medium red. Medium bodied. Plenty of fruit, cranberry, raspberry notes. Earth and forest floor notes on the finish. Simple but really tasty. A perfect pairing with beef stew.
