  For some reason the 2007 Cos d’Estournel keeps impressing me beyond its reputation. Beautiful bottle. Prominent red cherry, among the usual broader bouquet of red fruit, distinct backgdrop of strawberry, quite balanced tannins, mouth filling acidity. Love it, and considering its low-ish price given the 2007 vintage quite a bargain for a Cos d’Estournel.

  VDS 2-99-7. Chateau Cos d'Estournel 2007
  
  희대의 망빈이라 불리지만 꼬스는 꼬스였다. 최근 마셨던 보르도가 무똥을 제외하고는 좋은 빈티지라 볼 수 없는 13,17,07,14 였는데 저렴한 가격에 충분히 즐길 만한 와인이였다.
  꼬스를 망빈기준이면 대략 20만원대에 구할 수 있을거 같은데 그 가격대 미국 까쇼보다 월등히 만족도 높지 않을까 생각한다.(물론 개취)
  은은하게 깔리는 까시스와 삼나무, 숲내음, 이끼. 여기에 좋은 밸런스까지.
  보로도 올빈, 그레잇빈 예찬도 다 옛날 얘기가 된거 같다.
  과감히 열어서 팔렛에 집중하며 테이스팅 해보길.

  This was BEAUTIFUL. Big, strong, powerful, mature, perfectly balanced between its mouth filling acidity and tannins.

  Tasted this at a wine dinner at Tunglok Signatures (Orchard Rendezvous Hotel) with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: A good wine for Christmas and the New Year.
  
  Another blockbuster of the evening. A masculine wine with a solid, imposing structure. Dark fruits with a distinct oaky spice, leather and berries.
  
  From a lesser vintage, this is probably a good time to open this wine for drinking and enjoyment.

  Decanted for 2 hrs, smooth and easy drinker. Light on tannins and alcohol level, but it had good balance. The aroma didn't fade away, and the lingering taste in mouth remained.
