  • Tasted at The Fine Wine Experience Dinner at the Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong: The wine was in good condition i.e. not oxidized or corked and held up in the glass for the duration of the night. It is definitely old (no kidding!). A beautiful tawny port like nose and a longer finish than ’49 & ’61 (which it was paired with). There isn’t much fruit left to be honest but still some sweetness, definitely not dried out. Great to have tried it but was probably at its peak a few(!) years ago and I suspect that plateau of maturity has lasted for close to 100 years.
