When I read the previous 2 TN's posted here from Vinnut & Thomaskeil I am amazed as time seems to have stood still only that the color seems a little lighter in this bottle, so maybe just luck with a real fresh and well preserved specimen. PNP and just gorgeous... this reminds me of how well these can age just like the 2002's did just that this may be even better. WOW bravo Stephen.

Medium golden yellow in color, almost brassy. Full, forward and assertive nose of mature & well aged ripe fruit aromas of apples, pineapples & pears with overtones of butterscotch/caramel, spices, some minerals, vanilla and toasted oak. Medium bodied, with balanced, smooth textured, mature & well developed, round, ripe fruit flavors of pineapples, citrus of lemons/limes & apples with butterscotch/caramel, vanilla bean, spices, minerals and toasted oak. Long lingering finish. It may be on its descent with no further development expected, so drink up!

Oh my! Maybe a deeper straw color than last bottle 3 years ago, but otherwise this is a dead ringer for the note I wrote then. Rich fruits, impeccable brassy mineral balance, complex and persistent flavors. Lacks textural complexity and tension of the world's best chardonnays but it's impossible to not admire this wine and how it's aging. For interest's sake will likely have the last bottle in 3 more years.
Still holding up... well for a 2006. Straw yellow and rich lookng, soft stone fruit on the nose. Same fruits on the palate, plus a little honey/honesuckle (not sweetness... but sweet floral). Nice long finish. Hint of acidity. Sorry the last of these bottles is gone... a bit pricey (so just a good QPR), but a nice treat occasionally.

A buttery, smokey, mineral driven nose that does nothing for me on the palate and in my view is past prime for my preferences. Bought on release.
