  • Wonderful nose with vanilla, biscuit, maybe some lemon rind or a citric acid of some type. Well balanced palate with butter, pineapple, and grapefruit. A very good chardonnay that pairs well with salmon.

  • This bottle, my last of six, was somewhat less interesting to me than the previous. Perhaps the wine is now in decline or just some bottle variation, but it seemed flabby and less complex. It looks fine with medium lemon yellow color and no sign of oxidation. The nose is still oaky even after lots of time in the glass. There is also lemon curd and roasted nuts on the nose. On the palate it is round and slightly "chewy" but not bright and lacking in acidity. Flavors are lemon, vanilla, nuts and some honey, but the finish leaves a harsh aftertaste that fortunately doesn't last very long. Still not a bad wine but surely this bottle has seen better days.

  • Subsequent notes of this wine from a year ago. Medium golden yellow in color. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples, lemons/limes & grapefruit with overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle, grassiness & minerals, stony, spices, almonds, hints of vanilla & a touch of toasty oak. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced, smooth texture & complex, ripe fruit flavors of lemons/limes & grapefruit, apples with minerals & stony, spices, vanilla & a hint of toasty oak. Long lingering & crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present & is close to or at its peak of development.

  • Given its golden amber color and ripe and mature profile, this is very precocious for its age. Butterscotch and hazelnut top notes over candied pineapple, mangoes, and apples. Rich, velvety, and expansive in the mouth, with tertiary flavors that are sultry, buttery, and unctuous. Toffee inflects the long, elegant, and seductive finish. Outstanding.
