Light gold: mild roasted nuts; fairly closed slight floral notes; smooth palate, no real sherry notes but a rich, smooth flow across the palate; finish returns to lightly roasted nuts; not at sherry levels but headed in that direction

oLast bottle. Muted golden yellow. The nose again leans towards the yellower fruits peach, ripe pear ad ripe pineapple - with a leesy smoke tinged note. Again, ripe and rich on the palate with fleshy fruit- bitter pear, ginger and lots of butter. Ample and persistent. Again doing well with age. I am going to keep buying Hansel. All I have now is 2015. The soring prices of Burgundy make this even more pleasent.

This was fantastic. In an absolutely perfect place. The balance it struck in the body, aromas and flavor (WITH the presence of the oak which is a significant challenge on my palate) probably could not have been better. Really can't say anything bad about this wine. It was my last bottle and I would wait a day to drink others if I had them.

Really firing on all cylinders. Beautiful and bold in its golden color, it looked like a kind of homage to summer light. There was a viscosity to it that did not result in a syrupy taste. On the palate, it was just rich and fulfilling with honeysuckle and lemon zest. Wish I had more—the acidity in the glass tells me that there are several years of evolution left with this.
