Enjoyed with Thanksgiving dinner (so I don't have detailed notes). Aromatic upon opening the bottle; don't think it really needs much aeration and we didn't give it any. I didn't detect any of the Gevrey funk, but it was still masculine while managing to be pretty and complex on the nose. Palate was big and maybe just not quite integrated. Still have quite a bit of time left on these and I'll wait a few years before opening my last one.

Nice but certainly not great. Earthy, some reductive burnt rubber notes. Some fruit, fairly good acid and balance. Just needs more intensity. However just a 1er Cru from a mediocre vintage. So what do I expect. I would drink up.

More opened than the last bottle. Certainly one of the more "masculine" burgs i've come across from this vintage (does not have any of the soft edges of other 2000s). Pretty gamey, with dark fruits and mocha.

Still pretty dark red. Dark fruits, plum cherries, moccha and capiscus on the nose. Very round and full. Clearly loads of extraction. Palate is medium to full bodied and less interesting than the nose. A tiny bit of astringency on the finish. Not sure this is a great year for Roty. But it is more Roty than gevrey or 2000...

I disagree with thomasito. I never have problems with oak with this terrific traditional producer. rnellans is right about this going longer. Mine from magnum, but it was a leaker and/or low fill -- and it was divine.
