  • This bottle was in pristine condition. Fill level right up to 0.5 cm below the cork.
Excellent bouquet of sous bois; red cherries; and that complex aromas from aged Burgundy reds.
Cork came out in one piece. But I ensured that this was extracted with the Durand corkscrew.
The wine continued to evolve throughout the night. Finishing with tertiary bouquets of charry oak, earth and lovely cherry liqueur. The palate was all smoothness. Finish? Long and complex. Washed down with some wonderful soya chicken, served with fresh shallots inside a hot clay pot. Wow! Will do this anytime again. Next time, will pair this with the 1976 Michel Gaunoux Pommard Rugiens. Will anyone be interested in this upcoming review? Follow me please.....
