Very light in color, and showing some age. Subtle cherry and raspberry notes on the nose. Very much traditional in style. Austere but nice red fruit comes through, with rose, leather, and some mineral flavors. Quality, but not special. Only was able to open 20 minutes or so before drinking, and I suspect with a longer decant it may have showed better. Drinking well, no need to wait.

big family party so memory is faint, but do remember two of the clan coming up to me and saying they "really really liked it"... this was magnum format and decanted for about four hours and then had some, gassed it up, took down the second half with the family (who generated the comment above) on night two

Exceptional Barolo, not too early to drink IMO but would have benefited from longer time i the decanter then the hour I gave it. Opened up spectacularly during the mealtime.

Great bottle, drinking well right now. Dominated by tar, sweet rose candy, and sour cherry. Double decanted and opened 3-4 hours before drinking. Did not change much with time. Paired well with roasted duck breast.

Very nice wine, and still very young. I served it blind to a friend who guessed 2012. I'd let it rest at least another 5 years.
