  Half hour decant, reticent at first, slowly expands on the palate. Crimson color with clear edges, pomegranate /black cherry notes, integrated sweet tannins still present. A little menthol and Asian spice permeates the nose and the wine improves over an hour. While probably on the backside of it’s drinking plateau, still a beautiful example of older 1er cru VR. Excellent.
