Took 3 hours to truly open up, but when it did it was a classic example of Vosne. Sour cherry, muted Asian spice with a long finish. Patience is required.

Red fruit (cherry), good spice. Slightly round mouthfeel. Vosne Christmas spice. Good acidity. Lingering finish. Needs a couple hours air. Really enjoyable.

Very 1996 in character, this benefited from every minute of air it got in the decanter and I'm sorry there were only 2 hours available. Lovely wine once the acidity calmed down a bit, very red fruited. I'll hold my other bottle for at least a few years. Spiciness needed over an hour to emerge.
Served blind Burgundy and 1996 were both quickly guessed.

Brickish color, beautiful nose of earth and soft cherries, the wine was soft, feminine and drank beautifully. Good fruit, acidity and a long soft and velvety finish. This was the wine of the night, without question.

soft ruby color, starting to turn a little brickish. The bouquet has spice and sour cherries. The wine has sour cherry fruit and excellent acidity. Very crisp but with a nice long finish. Drinking nicely.
