  • Very nice, if a bit young still; opened for 45 min; then sampled; definite oak notes initially with ripe red fruit and spice underlying along with some floral notes; with another 45-60 min the oak is largely integrated and not noticeable; very floral, Vosne spice; ripe red and blue fruits; nicely balanced with plenty of depth and power, yet showing the elegance of Orveaux; tannins are sleek; good acidity for a '15. Definitely on the polished/modern side of Burgundy, but not in a bad way for me; I enjoy these wines quite a lot and they don't require loads of age. This is good now with some air and food and easily has 15-20 years ahead of it.

  • Balanced ripe red/black cherry, touch of gunflint that blew off pretty quick, low tannic grip, low acid.
Easy to quaff, but the lack of a stiffer tannin/acid backbone suggests (to me) that this is not going to evolve / improve significantly. Drink up next 3-5 years, I'd say.

  • Lovely earthy loamy round plum and grapey / bright red fruit notes, spicy and an oak presence but in balance. Balsam, touch o' cigar box, candied raspberry, wet forest floor after a fresh rain. Lovely.

  • Committed [w]in[e]fanticide...but the wine was very approachable and well-integrated already. Red-berry and cassis on the nose leading into a rich palate of ripe cherry, stewed rhubarb and beef jus. Silky smooth tannins with a long finish. Beautiful Burgundy.

  • This has lots of potential but the oak is just too prominent right now. Pretty high-toned ripe red fruit and Vosne spice on the nose. Tons of oak though. Nice acid-driven structure with fine tannins. Assuming the oak integrates over the next few years, this will be excellent in 7-10.
