  • The cork broke and it was sticking to the bottle, was trying hard to retrieve all but failed. Didn’t have Durand or ah so with me. The wine is not faulty. Notes of black fruits, leather, spices, toast. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Tannin is fine.

  • Medium to dark garnet colour. Red and dark fruit, black currant, plum, light vegetal notes, leather, tobacco, some cedar, light cocoa, spices, graphite, and a gravelly finish, with good acidity, sandpapery tannin, and very good persistence. A classic, lightly rustic, medium- to light-bodied Bordeaux with good complexity. Benefited from aeration in a small decanter, the last glass drank best. Drink now and over the next six to eight years.

  • This bottle probably hasn't moved since it was purchased on en primeur and it showed almost immediately. Extremely youthful, I was thinking I could pop and pour this bottle prior to opening it, but instead it needed to breathe over the course of a dinner to really show its prowess. But once it did, this was a great example of Château Duhart-Milon. The upfront was packed with leather and spices before the mid-palette introduced blackcurrant, cedar and other tertiary components. The bottle had a longer finish that I was anticipating as notes of licorice crept in, accompanied by some grippy tannins and good balance.

  • 1996 CHÂTEAU DUHART MILON 1996 Pauillac - 4ème Cru Classé 92 / 100 The Wine Advocate, RVF 17 $120 17
Is aging very well. Robe couleur sang, reflets rubis.Hue a commence a brunir. Joli Bouquet petits fruits rouges, cerise, sous-bois, epices.
