  • While I am not the biggest fan of the 2022 vintage, this is showing really beautifully. Still very primary, it explodes with ripe fruit of pear, but also some freshly cut red apple, minerality, some subtle spiciness, too. It‘s lighter-medium (probably more medium bodied in the context of Kabinett), this seems a little richer than other vintages, but everything is balanced by a nice vein of medium-high acidity (that feels a touch lower than in other vintages, also the minerality is adding to the balance too. A very nice Kabinett and one of the freshest Kabinetts of the vintages I have tasted.

  • During a merchant walkabout tasting, so only brief impressions. The wines of Weiser-Künstler reminded me of the Egon Müller offering a few tables down. Racy and precise wines with lots of energy. The Kabinett (93pt) was mineralic and still closed while the Spätlese was even more impressive (95pt) already showed its mettle with excellent precision, green apples, citrus and mineralc aromas. Good stuff.

  • Howard Ripley '22 German EP tasting: Very nicely done. A lovely style- almost a by-the-numbers Mosel Kabi, but executed at such a high level: green apple, lemon and spice. A good amount of residual sugar but beautifully prominent cleansing acidity. Really fresh, tart and drinkable. Great stuff
