My last and perhaps the second-best bottle I have had from this batch. Pain grille, morning rain, haystacks, wet paint and copious amounts of plums and cherries. Took about an hour to open. Sad to see it go, but at the same time, this was not worth the price of admission.

Slow ox 3 hours. Some bricking. Bottle felt tired. Fruit fading some plum and smoke. Tannins resolved. No reason to wait on these. Wanted another right bank and opened canon la gaff 2009 right after which was way more lively and fruity

Spicy and wild with a medium finish -- nothing too notable in terms of lasting; drank on NYE; generally an impressive bottle and more noteworthy than other older VCC I have drunk; the previous reviews are a bit harsher; while not unique, a great bottle relative to the price.

This was in an awkward spot. Pristine bottle and cork. Nose a little shy. A little herbal pepper and on the nose mixed with dried fruit notes. Palate on the narrow vibrant side, but shows some coarse tannins leading into a shorter than expected. Good, just not exceptional. But likely in an odd spot and could use some more time. Got better in decanter at 3hrs; give this plenty of air.

Lovely right bank with so much suave fruit. Delicious but feels just short of mature drinking with even more complexity in the tank. Peak in 3-5+ years.

Voluptuous, bucolic and arboreous.
