Yes, an enticing nose at first, but it dissipates quickly. I find the palate a bit odd; complex, yes, but not that appealing. I am reminded of preserved lemons, seashells and toast. Rather viscous and resinous. A food wine rather than a sipper, for sure. Having been opened and on our dinner table for almost two hours now, the finish is noticeably shorter than an hour ago. If you have these, drink up soon, I say.

Bordeaux 2014 - 10 Years On - 15 Reds: Beginning with three white wines, the Malartic emerged as the winner (92pts). It boasted an very good bouquet, encapsulating the quintessential aromas characteristic of a white Bordeaux. However, on the palate it was somewhat brief and straightforward. The Fieuzal (84pts)barely showed signs of life, with hints of baked apple on the palate. The Lynch Bages was disappointingly flawed due to premature oxidation. It's puzzling why DIAM corks were not utilized to prevent such issues.
TN: Featuring an expressive, intense, and alluring bouquet, this white Bordeaux captures the essence of seashell and oyster minerality, enriched with boysenberry and spearmint aromas. It exemplifies the quintessential characteristics expected of a white Bordeaux. However, the palate doesn't quite match the nose's outstanding quality, lacking some intensity and depth, and concludes with a brief finish. It earns 92pts for its great nose.
Decanting: Not decanted, no decanting necessary.

This is really, really good. Classic Bordeaux Blanc, for my taste. Combines that medicinal smoky, resinous, cured lemon, linseed character with fresher notes of squeezed lemon, vanilla bean, and bready notes. Zesty and rich at the same time, dry yet juicy. Oily yet puckering. Distinctive, excellent length, good grip. Much like other vintages from here but with a bigger punch and more palate depth. Wonderful. 93-94 pts.

Dark almost gold. No mustiness but a bit plodding. Not my style. To be fair it did improve and open up a bit to some of the green fruit notes other tasters have mentioned.

Quite lovely. Mild lemongrass palate with baked bread notes to it I was not expecting such a nice wine.
