last and very good bottle, perfect level and (very) tight cork, light gold-yellow colour in keeping with age, excellent fresh nose showing nutty aged character, palate with depth and concentration, good balance and length, with the slight oxidative character of aged (and not so aged) white Bordeaux, either you like it or you don’t but it is typical rather than a sign of decrepitude, very good food wine

Perfect level and cork, light hazelnut brown colour indicating some age and oxidation, nose interesting for an aged white, you either like it or you don't, nutty, fine, almost sherry-like, palate nutty, clean, balanced by acidity but still showing some oxidation, interesting but not a style I would personally seek out. Maybe just too old. I do not have a lot of experience with aged white Bordeaux.

pale gold colour, nutty, aged nose, clean palate still with refreshing acidity, full of character, possibly better 5-10 years back but still very enjoyable

pale gold colour, nose shows age but still fresh, rich and complex aged Sauvignon dominating, palate concentrated, quite powerful for a white wine, sweet fruit backed by an underlying dryness and refreshing acidity, good aged white Bordeaux at its peak

the bottles from this auction lot have been rather variable, this one is top notch, light straw yellow colour (good sign, the more oxidized bottles are darker gold), lovely fine complex nose, fresh but complex, dominated by sauvignon in character but the semillon adds power and body, lovely balance on the palate, a structured wine, especially at the finish, great example
